Photography and Philosophy

....I was reading today the Roland Barthes's philosophy and ideas... It looks like I kind of share his view on some things,( literally, things). He named it Mythology. I don't think I could call myself his follower, but I do share his view on things, everyday things that surround us in our lives. Of course he was a philosopher and looked at it really deeply, making big conclusions (with which I wouldn't disagree). For me it's just in that part that we shouldn't take every THING for granted. We have to enjoy and see the beauty in every THING that is around us, because there is a meaning why this or that thing is there and it can communicate a lot . I guess that's what I see through my view finder ,and try to take a picture of . When I look at my pictures all together  - they are not bright and festive, the colour (collective) is kind of calm and may be boring, and there is no much action in them too... But something from inside drives me to take a picture of little, unimportant, dull things - some simple stalk of grass, or faded flower, or petal, or just a spoon, glass of water..Later I delete the picture, thinking,  that it's just a snap, nothing interesting. And I do it again and again later. It made me think, why. I would say, that I would like to see myself or to show the importance of that "unimportant" thing. When it happens, I feel really good. And all this is kind of subconsciously.... Isn't it interesting to analyze ourselves?
